The Emmanuel Spiritist Center activities are based on the study, practice and broadcast of Gospel and Spiritism, as well as other Charity actions.
Spiritism is a science of observation and a philosophical doctrine, with special attention to the human being ethical and intellectual development.
Emmanuel is a spirit which wrote books by means of the Chico Xavier psychography. His work has had, as main characteristic, the reaffirmation of the importance of the Gospel and Spiritsm for the promotion of peace, inner harmony and understanding of Truth.
SPIRITISM - PRINCIPLES
The principles of Spiritism are contained on the books published by Allan Kardec: The Spirits’ book, The Mediums’ book, The Gospel According to Spiritism, Haven and Hell and The Genesis According to Spiritism. Those books are all concerning the immortality of being, reincarnation, the nature of spirits and their relations with men, moral laws, present and future life of humanity. AMAR PROJECT - Mutual Help and Support for Addiction Recovery
All Mondays, from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m., Emmanuel Spiritist Center offers meetings for support and guidance to solve problems related to chemical, emotional, alcohol dependency and others. If you want to know more about this work, just show up on the specified day and time to attend the meetings.
Academic researches about the Spiritsm in Brazil
The Dr. José Rodrigues do Carmo, PhD in Science of Religion for the Methodist University of Sao Paulo, evaluated on his thesis the reasons that lead to people to convert to Spiritism in Brazil. The research aimed on people who originally were from other religions. This research is available only in Portuguese at this URL.
